James Cave: Director and Producer

An introduction

James is currently working on Some Masterchef Sh*t, a new play by Liam High. The play will preview at 53two in Manchester, feature at the Heading North Festival at the Shakespeare North Playhouse in July before a run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2025 supported by the Fringe Fund.

James has recently been a guest tutor/director for Rose Bruford North, Identity School of Acting in Manchester and The Arden.

 

James has trained with The Musical Breath charity to study
the anatomy of the voice/lungs in conjunction with the national singing for lung health campaign
developed by the British Lung Foundation (Asthma and Lung UK). He is also working specifically with Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Groups in the North West as a Singing for Lung Health practitioner.


He is a huge advocate for access to theatre and performance for all and has an huge interest in
working class stories and the voices of the LGBTQ+ community.
